The Great Goddess has many aspects of Herself, these aspects are the Goddesses of many different lands and patronesses of different crafts, like healing, childbirth, creativity, time, animals, psychic skills. I honor and celebrate all the Goddesses, but am particularly drawn to five of them. I personally worship and build altars to; Inanna, Brigit, Maid-Mother-Crone, Yemaya and Dewi Sri.
It isn't so much choosing a Goddess as just relaxing and seeing where your attention goes over time, patterns will emerge and you will see the Goddess or Goddesses who call to you the most clearly, Till then, celebrate "The Great Goddess" and honor all the Goddesses that are her aspects. It is very personal, but trust me, if you give it a little time, you will see clearly the Goddess path that is meant for you.
Spirituality can be as complex as people are. You do not have to throw away everything you ever believed in the past, some people do, some people don't.
Some people have Mary, Kali, Jesus & Aphrodite on their Altars.
Some worship only the Norse Pantheon.
Some celebrate Jewish traditions and Asherah, Lilith, Inanna & Luna.
Some celebrate only the Celtic Goddesses and Gods.
Some worship the African Orishas like Yemaya and Oshun.
Some celebrate the Greek or Roman Pantheon.
Some worship the ancient Neolithic Cave Goddesses.
Some worship the Hindu Pantheon of Goddesses & Gods.
Some worship Gaia and the spirits of the Earth.
Some worship local Aboriginal Goddesses and Gods
Some worship ancient Eastern European and Russian Goddesses.
Some worship Native American Divinities and the ancestors.
Some celebrate the Lady and the Lord.
Some celebrate the Great Goddesses of Asia like Kuan (Quan) Yin .
Some celebrate only the Goddess, and worship no male deities.
Some celebrate the South American Goddesses and their traditions.
Some celebrate Italian Goddesses like Bona Dea and practice Strega.
Some worship IsIs and practice Her sacred religion.
Many never choose and celebrate "The Great Goddess" in Her many aspects and different faces of the Goddess and the Feminine Divine.
Whichever direction calls to you, it will feed your spirit and enrich your life. Don't stress about choosing, just let your Path choose you. Being in harmony with life and cycles of Nature will naturally draw you onto the Path that is right for you.
Unlike many religions, in Goddess Culture there is NOT "one right way" to honor the Feminine Divine. There are 100,000 right ways.
